the Quorn [the Quorn]
one of Britain’s best-known ↑fox hunts (= groups of people who hunt foxes), established in ↑Leicestershire in 1698. In 1991 a film was secretly made showing a ↑fox being torn apart by the Quorn’s ↑hounds (= dogs trained to hunt), which shocked many people when it was shown on television.
